Heather Sorber, ND
Naturopathic Physician
Dr. Heather Sorber grew up in St. Helens, Oregon, where her passion for health, sports, and nutrition began at an early age. She studied biology and literature at Pacific University Oregon, where her interest in science and healing deepened. While exploring career paths in health care, she discovered naturopathic medicine—a field that blends modern science with natural therapies to support whole-person wellness. It was the perfect fit.
Dr. Sorber earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 2014. She returned to her hometown of St. Helens, where she now practices naturopathic primary care with a focus on hormone health, serving the community with a deep commitment to personalized, integrative care.
In her clinical work, Dr. Sorber draws from a wide range of natural therapies and advanced techniques, including Holistic Pelvic Care™, pelvic floor therapy, applied kinesiology (AK), neuroemotional technique (NET), and total body modification (TBM). She integrates these modalities to support hormone balance, optimize overall wellness, and address both the physical and emotional aspects of health, helping patients restore balance and build resilience from the inside out.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Sorber enjoys spending time in nature—whether hiking, camping, or relaxing by the water. She also loves to read, write, and coach youth sports, sharing her love of athletics and mentorship with the next generation. Most of all, she values time with her husband, children, extended family, and friends.
Dr. Sorber brings warmth, curiosity, and a holistic mindset to every patient interaction. She takes the time to truly listen, ensuring each patient feels heard, understood, and supported on their path to better health.
Margaret Ptak, ND, Lac
Naturopathic physician & Licensed Acupuncturist

Growing up as a first-generation Polish-American, Dr. Margaret Ptak was surrounded by the belief that healing should be accessible, compassionate, and rooted in community. She believes everyone deserves to feel at home in their body—and to have real options in how they heal. Her goal is to make care approachable and empowering, helping patients feel supported and actively involved in their health decisions.
Dr. Ptak’s practice blends the science and art of healing through both naturopathic and East Asian medicine. Alongside acupuncture and herbal therapies—drawing from both Western and Eastern traditions—she incorporates treatments such as perineural injection therapy, neural therapy, craniosacral work, orthobionomy, myofascial release, naturopathic manipulation techniques, neuro-emotional technique, and pelvic-floor therapy. She has a particular interest in the mind-body connection and how addressing both physical and emotional patterns can restore balance and vitality.
Her path to medicine began at SUNY Stony Brook University, followed by a master’s degree in Medical Research and Public Health from Boston University. Influenced by Poland’s long, rich tradition of herbal medicine and the use of food as healing—remedies once preserved by monasteries and passed down through generations—she was drawn to naturopathic medicine and later moved to Portland to complete dual degrees in Naturopathic and East Asian Medicine, along with a certificate in Midwifery and Natural Childbirth. She went on to complete a three-year primary care residency and a fellowship in fertility and reproductive health.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ptak loves exploring new cultures through travel and social dance, getting lost in a good book over tea, and finding peace in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
